TICAD BUSINESS EXPO＆CONFERENCEにブース出展します

株式会社ローカルメディアラボでは、2025年8月20日から22日まで横浜市で開催される第9回アフリカ開発会議（TICAD9）の期間、日本貿易振興機構（JETRO）が主催するTICAD BUSINESS EXPO＆CONFERENCEにブース出展することが決まりました。

出展はJapan Fairと呼ばれる日本企業のブースエリアで、弊社は「アフリカで活躍する日本企業」のカテゴリでの出店となります。出展内容は、2024年度からエチオピア連邦民主共和国において展開している図書館や博物館向けのデジタルアーカイブシステム（LMDAS）になります。同システムは、2019年の佐賀県立図書館データベース導入からスタートし、年々改善を重ね、新技術も取り入れながら、既に日本国内5カ所の図書館で採用いただいており、今年度も新たなプロジェクトが動き出しています。

弊社では、今回の出展を機に、エチオピアの皆さまはもちろん、アフリカ諸国の皆さまに、過去の貴重な資料をデジタル化し未来に伝えるデジタルアーカイブプロジェクトについてご紹介できればと考えております。

Local Media Lab Co., Ltd. has been selected to participate in the TICAD BUSINESS EXPO & CONFERENCE, organized by the Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO), during the 9th Tokyo International Conference on African Development (TICAD9) to be held in Yokohama from August 20 to 22, 2025.

The exhibition will take place in the Japan Fair area, which features booths of Japanese companies, and our company will participate under the category of “Japanese Companies Active in Africa.”The content of our exhibition will be the digital archive system (LMDAS) for libraries and museums that we have been developing in the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia since fiscal 2024. The system was launched in 2019 with the introduction of the Saga Prefectural Library database, and has been improved year by year with the incorporation of new technologies. It has already been adopted by five libraries in Japan, and new projects are underway this fiscal year.

We hope to use this opportunity to introduce our digital archive project, which aims to digitize and preserve valuable historical materials for future generations, not only to the people of Ethiopia but also to those from other African countries.
